Pilot® Sport is first street tire to use Michelin’s patented Silicium tread compound, derived from compounds used in our world champion racing rain tires. Silicium not only enhances wet-weather grip, but durability as well. Large tread blocks maximize the contact patch for superb braking, cornering and acceleration. Deep, compound-curve grooves efficiently evacuate water, working in concert with the Silicium rubber to promote wet grip. For optimal wear and balanced performance, the front and rear Pilot® Sport tires utilize similar tread patterns.
